Reform of façade of Manuel Tovar 42 Building (Madrid)

The project aims to reform the facade of an industrial building achieving a new and groundbreaking identity with a limited cost. In order to accomplish this objective we have chosen an architectural solution which changes completely the appearance of the building without compromising its essence of industrial building, keeping in view the original material (brick) and the composition of openings in the façade. Especting the existing brick wall, it is coloured black with a ceramic base coating which provides thermal insulation properties, incorporating anodized aluminum window frames with a ranking of different colors on the inside, creating a dynamic chromatic sequence which highlights holes in the façade, more especially on the dark solid background.
